i've always wanted a proper lunchbox but i never could find one that i liked, so i was happy when i saw these today, i really like red, and i've been into this kind of flower print lately, the kind you often see with the matryoshkas

Nutella!!!

i got a care package from my family today with tons of food!!! it was like christmas morning!!! and there was tons of nutella too!! i've been craving nutella since that nutella crepe i had in Paris!!! i have the best family in the world!!!

the package also included brownies, chili beans, vitamin c powder, cheese, ham, and three kinds of beef jerky!!!

being in Japan really makes you miss American food, i've been craving brownies this whole time i've been here, the brownies from the states are different than the ones here, they're just sooo good!!!!

i've probably overdosed on chocolate today, but i haven't gotten a nosebleed yet, so i think i'm ok!!!

just kidding~ i just split some into jars for my friends~~

besides eating, i spent the day looking for a birthday present for my sister, also taught an English lesson, and studied for my pattern test tomorrow~~

i'm taking a national exam on pattern making next month, and i'm kind of freaking out about it, but i really want to challenge myself while i'm here, and it's a good way to study kanji too!

poladroid

my current obsession is instant film pictures, i miss my i-zone camera from the fifth grade, oh those tiny sticker pictures made my elementary days

i really want a polaroid camera, but the film is just sooo expensive!!

maybe i'll save up for one, but for now i've discovered this cool online software called poladroid where you can drag digital photos onto the cyber polaroid camera and it'll print out a cyber polaroid picture, you can even shake it with your mouse, so yeah i'm way too hooked on this now and have pretty much made a polaroid for every picture i could find

tuesday i went karaoke in Shinjuku with some peeps from my work and we started singing from around midnight and went on till sunrise, yup we party hardy with karaoke

afterwards we ate ramen (for breakfast!) then it was off to school for me~~

which wasn't as bad as i thought, i survived the day without being totally narcoleptic ;)

the paper bag holds 65 bucks worth of fabric, which i will use to make a wool suit in sewing class, the cheapest wool print i could find was 15 bucks a yard and i needed three and a half yards plus lining and other stuff

i didn't think it would cost so much!!

but this is gonna be one awesome suit ;)

also today in leather accessory class i made a pattern for a business card holder, but it was a little small so i remade it and used the old model to hold my suica train pass~~

i colored and decorated it as well~~

looks like a kindergarden art project...

suica means watermelon in japanese~~

and it expires today x_X;;

I was walking around the city of Marunouchi Sunday Morning, and even though all the shops were closed it was such a nice walk. Very peaceful with only a few people around and the streets didn't really feel like Japan at all, more as if it were somewhere in Europe.

Anyways, I passed by one of the shops along the street and on the window this quote was written and I really liked it.

I didn't know who it was by so I googled it and found out it was a quote by Charlie Chaplin, which made sense to me.

I'd say laughing is my hobby, I really like Japanese comedy shows (owarai) and the best conversations to me are the ones where we can all laugh till we're rolling around and slapping our knees.

I laughed a lot today, and I say it was a day well spent.

I am currently hooked on this Tea & Cafe campaign that "Gogo no Beni Cha" is having~~

it's super cool~~! you get points for each sticker you collect (one for every drink you buy)

then with two points (two drinks) you get to play a card matching game on their website and if you win they send you a cool plate and two cups!!

I've already played the game five times (ten drinks x_x;;)

still no luck, but i really just like playing the game and looking at all their cool recipes and stuff,

Japan has a lot of cool cafes, with great food and they are just as much fun to look at!!
