moving by day, working by night

so i've been sort of MIA from my friends these past days because i spent them moving from one dorm room to another dorm room downstairs... which took way longer than i thought... damn those stairs never seemed so long, but luckily there was an elevator for the big stuff

i guess i like my new room... i mean it looks exactly the same, and i have it set pretty much the same way as my last room...

but im planning on getting a few new shelves to help organize and keep it from becoming another jungle of clothes and papers like the last one!!

i think the reason why it took so long to move was because i had to clean the mess first and get rid of all my junk, i still have nightmares when i think about what i'm gonna have to do when i move back to the states!!!

sucks that they have that weight limit rule now... i'm screwed

and i had five days of work scheduled in a row which made it harder, but luckily i was able to get a day off to concentrate on moving

and when i thought it was all over, i remembered the report on my trip to europe was due!! oh no!! so i spent a good two days on that... with no sleep ><"

and got it done, i didn't half-ass this one so it turned out better than i though!!!

but man oh man, does the combination of tissue paper and liquid glue suck!!!

oh... they told me to due an artistic report on it that displays an emotion of fun-ness...

whatever that means, but i actually had a little fun making it... so i hope that counts...

ah!!

so long rant~

but im alive, and living proof that you can go without sleep for two days as long as you have a good amount of milk tea and chocolate!!!

today i am going to visit my aunt in Kanagawa

she lives in the same city where i lived from birth to five

so in a way, i am going home

sometimes i miss it a lot

but everytime i go back something is new

and everytime i go back i feel somewhat old

since i have been on spring break these past days, i have decided to stay in for lunch rather than eat out or buy from the 7eleven across the street, which is so annoyingly convenient... i'm guessing that is why they are called convenient marts here... that's exactly what they are!

today was graduation day for the 2nd years at my school, and the group that i'm in (fashion event staff) threw a goodbye party for the seniors~~

my mentor, Hiro Senpai gave me a cake as a gift!!! and she even wrote me a card~~

her major was illustration so the card had her own work on it and the message was really nice, i will miss her and all the seniors so much!!

it is hard to believe that i will be a senior in about a week... the thing about going to a two year school is that is goes by really quick, you become a senior before you even know it, honestly... it hasn't really hit me that hard yet.

this is actually what i wore last night to work~

yes i decided to change into comfortable working clothes

the bag is what i made for my school's culture festival last october

it was inspired by the public telephones in Japan, they are green and super awesome,

but no one really used them due to cellphones, but i hope they stick around,

i will miss them so,

and, what will i do if i forget my cellphone?? it happens.

and, if i move out of japan and decide to visit later

i will need to use public phones to call people

rather than spend a fortune on a rental phone right??

today i took a walk in Kinshicho and discovered a new store!!

it is called Peikko~~

it is a little shop that sells all things Muumin

i love Muumin, i grew up watching that show and Little My reminds me of my little sister, they have similar names too.

i am trying very hard to save money so i only bought a letter set, it is so cute~

they had many kinds but i decided on a blue themed one~

it is almost spring and i think i need a fresh start so i cut my nails~~

it is so much easier to type now, although it does feel a little wierd

today is sunday, i was able to catch up on some sleep and just hang around in my room, started working on my look book for spring, cutting out things from magazines and pasting them into collages, snacking on sugar coated peanuts, and watching legally blonde 2... random, yes.

this is what i wore on saturday to go to the culture festival at my friend's Japanese school (Kudan) in Jimbocho (super close to my school)

it was pretty cool, there were students from all over the world including Italy, Sweden, Taiwan and France

some of the students even threw classes on how to speak French, Italian, an Swedish

there was also food and Japanese instrument classes

i was able to play around with the koto, which is a big Japanese instrument with 13 strings, i used take lessons but i havn't been playing since i graduated high school so it was nice to be able to play a few songs

oh and there was a student from Russia who had the same neon green pants as me!!! it was so funny, and a good conversation starter in fact~

the fashion show on friday went really well and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it~~

im glad that we were able to dress all the models on time and the show went smoothly

allthough the models seem relaxed on the runway, backstage is chaotic to the max! running, yelling, zipping and ripping, it all happens here

next year my designs will be rockin' the runway so watch out!!
